I work for a non-profit and we are collecting used cellphones for the following organization...does anyone from the MR Unit have one (or a few!) I could have? Maybe they are tucked away in a drawer...

"Phones for Life collects used cell phones for senior citizens. Its mission is to help seniors stay safe and maintain a healthy and productive lifestyle. Donated cell phones combat fear of isolation and the threat of elder abuse. Phones for Life will personally deliver 9-1-1 cell phones in areas that were mostly affected by Hurricane Katrina."

I can pick up or you can drop off in midtown. Thanks!!!

FYI,
I tried to play Columbo today, but failed.
I went to 42nd and Park Ave and all around Grand Central looking for these guys but couldnt find them. Finally, i surrendered my manhood and asked the information booth if they knew where I could donate my phones. They directed me to the police station (in the basement). Once I found it, I was informed that they should be dropped off at the Station Master's office. After another small hunt, I found it but was told that they dont collect it anymore, but that there is a collection by Pershing Square between 4pm and 7pm. So I went back to work and returned to that location around 6pm on my way home. After another quick tour around midtown manhattan, i decided to ask in the retaurant if they knew about it. They didnt, but they thought that Kenneth Kole might know. So off I went to Kenneth Kole, and they told me that they have seen them right outside Grand Central a few days ago, but that is all they knew. I tried calling the number given to me from the Station Master, but got an answering machine.
Bottom line, they ended up coming back home with me on the train (as i had to get home for a meeting) and will come back to work again for another day in the "Adventures of Detective ALRHA and the Cell Phones"
