well took my daughter to the park in peekskill which is on the hudson river and as we were by the water out of curiousity i turned a rock over and it was covered in pods, well the park trip was cut short as i ran home to get a bucket, got a 1000 or so pods and a few different types of algea, my seahorse's are in heavan now, hardest part was cause i just picked rocks up and shook around in a bucket of water was getting pods out of all the debris in bucket

very interesting. I didn't think the ocean water went up the river that far. Or could they be fresh water pods? I'm in Manhattan and I never thought to go to the Hudson for pods. I guess I'm so used to thinking of the Hudson as a PCB dumping ground. I'd be interested in getting more info on the livestock in the Hudson and if it's safe to put in our tanks. Anyone else have any info?

i should have tested the salinity of the water, but from my understanding it reach's up past me as well, not sure what else ya might find, was a bunch of fern calurpa on the shore
