Im very frustrated with my Bubble master 160 skimmer, that has the sicce pumps, I unpluged it for 2mins and changed cup and now it wont restart. I took impeller out put back together, put it in sump than it wont restart. So then I finally do this a cpl times it starts working. For a top end pump this really has much to be desired

It has to do with the Mesh Mod.
You have to trim off the loose threads. Make sure it's perfectly round to match the back plate that it's mounted on.

I got the mesh really tight with no loos threads, but this pump is so sensitive. Currently im using the small ties that it came with but I think im going to change to fising line to minimalize friction.

SIDE NOTE: I noticed alot of airbubbles in my sume coming from skimmer, do you think this is due to venturi not being air tight enough?

I've never seen air-bubbles coming from this skimmer.
You have to track where that's coming from.

Can you post a pic of the Impeller & Mesh?

I'm wondering if you have the intake on correctly (part that's mounted to the skimmer body).

Im currently at work so cant pst pics, I am pretty sure there is minimal friction, just from the small times. When I get home I will try and look closely if i can trim anything else hanging on it.

I never had issues with air bubble before this morning either, but thats a good point, it could be where the pump meets the skimmer. I will take apart and assess these two things this afternoon

I have to play around with my sicce pump each time I unplug as well. I try to avoid ever unplugging it because of that unless absolutely necessary. Once its on, its stays on without a problem though. I have the BM250 so I have 2 of the pumps. One tends to turn on without a problem every time, the other needs some wiggling.

Question about the sicce pumps - Think it's a good idea to use it on a EuroReef RS135? or will it be too powerful. I want to get more air, but not sure if the neck+body can handle all that air...
