It is a pink birds nest the outter part was brown inside was pink Hope it lives is it normal for the ends to be brown. Well just got home a few min ago went to check somthing I looked a the birds nest and to my suprize there was a small pink crab living in the birds nest any one know anything about a small pink crab that host in a bird nest if so is it reef safe It will be hard to get a pic since he is all the way in and about 1", this would explain why my clown gobie did not sit on it!!

a birdsnest is not an acro

and wholesalers almost always ship acro's and other SPS mostly just damp in a sealed box, so no reason why it shouldn't make it unless it was subject to extreme temps. This allows the box to be a lot more lighter and cheaper to ship.

polyps are still there on the tips
given the right conditions, it should fully recover

you made it sound like you got a bunch of rubble.. it just has a few small broken branches.. but otherwise fine
