Although I have never used a Bubble Magus, that is what I would choose. The BM spec says it produces 650LPH (of air). That is about double the air intake of the DAS and you won't have to worry about plumbing a feed to the BM since you just dump it in the sump.

theres been a bunch of people on RC trying then out...and seems like its a nice skimmer....the DAS is recirc and has been known to skim well....also depends on how your sump is setup....

i like to try new toys so i would choose the BM ...you can also pick it up in brooklyn
and save on shipping...as for DAS....they are a harder to deal with
im guessing you know where to get the BM...but heres the site anyways....

nuthing but good reviews on the msx skimmers...i had the 160 and it was great...
the only thing is you need to do a good mesh job on the impeller or you will have startup isssues and noisy pump...but they do come with the new pinwheel impellers so you good go if you dont want to mess with the mesh(the mesh pulls alot more air though)

I went with the BM 160 after reading about it at RC and had it ever since. It's been working really well for me. I have a light bioload and it still pulls half a cup of dark skimmate about every week. My water is pristine. Haven't had any start up problem. Bubbles are fine and thick.
