help!

just picked up a twin reefdoser and i'm a little confused on how to stagger 2part dosing.

lets say i want to dose 4x a day so i set it to run every 6 hrs for a 30 second duration. i understand how to do that. so, say pump one is set to run at midnight, 6a, noon, 6p.

how do you get the 2nd pump to dose 3a, 9a, 3p, 9p? (still 4x a day so i'm not dosing both at the same time)

am i approaching it correctly?

thanks,
dan

By default both pumps will come on at the same time. If you want to stagger them, you need to reset one of the pumps (by resetting the timer) at the time you want it to go on.

Example, you want the doser to dose Part A at 12am, 6am, 12pm and 6pm and you want to Dose part B at 3, am, 9am, 3, pm and 9pm.

You would reset the Part A pump at 12 then rest the Part B pump at 3.

thanks for the input matt.

my understanding is that there are 2 settings to program. cycle-time and on-time. in my example, i want cycle time to be 6 hr intervals.. on-time to be 30 seconds.

this is how i think i program channel 1 (using midnight for the reference for zero) 12a, 6a, 12p, 6p

1st setting- cycle time __ __ . __ __ set to 06.00
2nd setting- on time __ . __ . __ . __ set to 0.0.0.0
then following screen __ . __ . __ __ set to 0.0.30

what settings do i input for pump 2? how do you reset the timer on the 2nd pump?

it's probably simple but i haven't seen the light yet.

thanks!!

if I am reading the manual correctly from Aquamedic's website, it looks to me that the cycle time is not an actual time. So if I'm right then at 12pm you will set pump number one for a 6 hour cycle time with an on time of 30 seconds then you will have to wait three hours until 3pm and then set pump number two on a 6 hour cycle time with a 30 second on time. This should stagger the two pumps by 3 hours

That is absolutely correct.
