I bought a spacelight Halide fixture sitting on a canopy on some cut 2x4's with a PC Coralife retrofitted into the canopy off a member from MR. They are 3x150w and yellow 15k on the outsides and 10k blue on the inside. I want to adjust some of the PC's to more actinics and the halide bulds to more blue then yellow. I'm looking for some advice - or a vendor - to recommend a good way to fit it with more stability and add some bulbs without breaking my wallet.

Here are some pics

Justin, errr... from the picture, your MH is a fixture not a retro MH in a canopy, a canopy is usually a wooden box like cover with lights mounted on them. I would look online for a leg for your fixture instead of using wooden blocks or have custom king build on with acrylic, at least it would look better. If u are willing to spend money replacing the MH bulbs, I would do 12 - 14k inside bulb and 2 20k outside bulbs. As for your pc lights fixture in the back, theres nothing much u can do with them, u either put it infront of the MH fixture or behind, as u did already. If it isnt actinic pc bulbs already, switch it out to actinic then. Since u have both fixtures, u really cant do much with it, U can maybe build a canopy, but that is just to cover everything up to look nicer. Dont know if I answer your questions.

I'm also slightly confused as to what your question is, but I had the same light on my tank (just recently switched to T'5s but they are installed basically the same way).

I hung my Aquamedic light from the ceiling so that it fit through an opening in the top of my canopy.
This it the canopy itself:

Here it is with the 2 48" retrofit actinics added onto the canopy, one is attached to the front 'door' and one is attached just in front of the Aquamedic fixture

Hope that helps!
