what should i use for sand in my refuge,,

Im redoing my friends tank ,he now has a reef ready sump ,with a g2 skimmer ,,
im redoing this for him with a 48 inch refuge ,,what should i put in ,,Sand ,southsown ,miracle mud ,if anyone think it works ,,i have it in my refuge ,dont see a prob expect thats its 45 bux a bag ,,
or mineral mud ,,what do you guy think ,
im going to give him some of my cheato ,it full of life ,,copepods ,mirco stars ,ect...

i would just put sand in it. i'd buy a bag of any play sand at Home Depot, which ever you like best. rinse it well and throw it in there.can't beat it for $5. if you find South Down even better.

I would use regular sand, and what I did was, I went to absolutley fish and bought pound of sand from their live rock tank. Put that in, and it has tons of life.
