AquaController vs ReefKeeper

I do not own a controlling unit at this time but I am looking to invest in one.
What unit do you recomend and why

between the AC3 pro and the Reef Keep Elite and what ever else can compete with them around that price

Either one is a good unit. I bought the RK2 because of price.

i have a AC JR but i really wanted to get a RK2 would like to see the difference, still thinking about selling my acJR

Can u explain what the 3 does that the 2 doesnt as well as the JR

the 3 can be used to monitor 2 different ph....ex: your tank ph and the ph of a cal reactor

and it can email you if a problem or page you i think, not like my boss is gonna let me leave work unless the tank is leaking, i guess the rest have a few more option's, i use mine to control light's monitor heat, monitor ph turn my sump fan on if temps, as well as could program it for other stuff

Dave, you know what you want the unit to do for you. Many other, like myself, use them to read the temp, PH and control all of the lights/heater/chiller and whatnot. It's more of a personal decision depending on what you keep in your tank and what you want the controller to do for you.
I love my ACjr's

If you Google aquarium controller comparison..you'll get a ton of info listing side by side of the differences in the units available out there.

If it does everything, then if there is a problem with the unit, everything else becomes a problem too. Just something to keep in mind.

I like the look of the RKE. I will let you know how it works when I get one, on paper , sounds like a nice value. I always had ReefKepers the original & the 2. they are not perfect, but the customer service is excellent in my experience.

as well is with aquacontroller, any questions i have hd i get a reply next day they all really do the same thing the elite and other's just offer a few more thing's that i dont need, nor felt the needs to spend the few hundred extra dollars for them

If the RK2 had 4 more outlets then it would be perfect. Real english programming, simple easy straight forward use and a good economical price.

RKE includes a Ph & ORP probe, I think two float switches so it also functions as an ATO device. those three things plus a RK2 would bring you close to the $500 price tag. but I read it's full of bugs still, so if you cant wait for them to fix, go with the AC.
the customer service was morethan just answering silly questions, but replacing the product past warranty..... thats putting yourself behind what you make
