will this work as a fuge

how big is the tank duke? If the tank is bigger than 50g then the 2g fuge isnt gonna be much added to it to go through all the work to get one in. Every little bit helps though =0)

okay this is what i made.a 1 1/2 gal acrylic tank.i drilled a hole for a 1/2 drain and i used a over the tank U for return.i put it on a shelf sitting on top of sump.the only problem i see now is a light.i need to put a small light that doesnt give off much heat since i only have about 4in of top clearance and 6 in of side clearance any suggestions on that

I don't see why it wouldn't work. It adds water volume. You've got a light over it. It has flow. You've got some macro in it. With some LR rubble and running it on a reverse light cycle, you'll do fine.

Only issue I see is the access to the fuge. It looks awfully tight in there. If all goes well, you'll need to prune your cheato (nutrient export). Getting into the fuge might be rough.

yeah i thought about that also .the only thing i came up with was the ability to remove the fuge when things beed pruning.good im glad .i found that strip light in the clearance at petco $5
