Does it matter what time of day I test?

I was wondering if it makes a difference what time of day I test? Lights on? Lights off? Morning? Evening? Let me know your opinions. I'm testing in the evening right now with the lights on for about an hour. Thanks.

I don't think it makes a difference for anything but your pH. pH will drop slightly over night when the lights are out and rise in the day when the lights come on.

I don't know if corals do more or less absorbing of alk/ca in the daytime or night, so because of this, I try to test around the same time each time (which for me is at night before the lights shut off because that's when I'm home)
