Trimming ORA frag plugs

Has anyone ever trimmed those long plastic plugs ORA uses to mount their frags? I'd like to pick up some frags for my tank, but my LR doesn't have have a lot of spots where those plugs could fit, so it would be helpful to trim them back. The plastic is really hard and it's difficult to saw through, especially when there is a frag already on it. Any ideas?

i use dremel w/ diamond wheel

Do you use anything to protect the frag? I thought about using a dremel but was worried about pieces of hot plastic landing on and hurting the frag.

just drill your rock thats what I did

Unfortunately, the way my tank is set up, it's not really feasible to take my rock out and drill it. I'll trying getting the diamond wheel for my dremel and see how that works.

i use dremel w/ diamond wheel

use a standard cutting wheel, although perhaps the diamond wheel would work better.

Never had a problem, I leave a little nub.
