I've been looking around for a product to DESTROY aiptasia, and it seems that I've found one....I think its quite new and just recently came out. The product claims to be 100% completely reef safe.

I was thinking about buying a bottle or two, but this guy has me worried on the effects it has on fish particularly his midas blenny.

Here is his video of his midas blenny after application

Here's a demonstration of the product:

Here's a link on RC from people who have used it give positive feedback.

Has anybody had any experience with this product? If so please leave some feedback.

thanks

I heard good things about it too.. so I got a sample. Initailly I was impressed with it when I used it on the curly Q anemones, but now that they have made a come back I am not that impressed with it when it comes to killing curly Q anemones.

Its meant for aiptasia, and I tried it on a few large aiptaisia but it did not kill them off. May be it works better on the smaller ones.

i just kalk'd some of mine the other day worked amazing, I mad it so thick that it came out like toothpaste and it sat on them and killed them in a without mercy fashion :birthday: altho it can burn corals if it sits on them from my experience. I will do again in a few days dont want to add too much kalk in a short period of time.

Hey Aaron , I'll vouch for the first product you mention.I have used Bluelife's product about a year ago with great results and no ill affects to my reef. I haven't seen any new aiptasia since.

How does it compare to Joe's Juice? And when you guys talk about "kalking" it, you use the powder straight out of the container and mixed it with water to make the thick paste?

yes mix it with tank water to a thick paste and make sure to mix it very well when I kalk mine its like puting toothpaste on a tooth brush

you guys gotto remember that there might be baby aptasia in the tank somewhere under a rock or in a hole that you might not see (most peoples tanks are a bit complicated in rock structures too). The foot thats left behind in any calk/remover process has a chance to still regen back too. Ive found a baby mojano that hasn't grown in a few weeks the exact size and rough shape as some small clove type polyps i hvae growing on a rock (sneaky bastard) so its possible that you might be missing some.

In theory the product does work, it kills the existing aptasia you put it on, but are you 100% sure that the ones you kalked or removed are the cause of the new aptasia?
