This tank looks AWFUL! and its for sale on CL. I wish i had money and space in my tank id help those fish. DOES NOT look like a happy tank. Am I over exaggerating?

200 gallons for just those 4 fish is good really IMO. Just a lot of red slime so obviously water quality is off.

Could also be that the beneficial bacteria never developed, or got killed somehow. As what happened in my 120 FOWLR!!!!!!!!
Not always is red slime a neglect problem.. I bet 1 dose of "RedSlime Remover" would take care of it.

Now that you say that Awi, I wonder now if this tank was treated with copper.

"CopperSafe" treatment in my tank caused all of the beneficial bacteria to die. I have treated other fowlr w/"SeaCure" in the past without this problem. And NO I do not recommend anyone dose their display tank with that either............
Not sure what may have happened in this tank, could simply be that it never got the chance to develope properly.

i hope no one falls for this sale. craigs list is full of scams like this. with craigs list, its up to the buyer to beware.

How do you see this as a scam? The listing says local pickup. It's not like there is a 3rd party shipper involved.

i guess in this case is more like buying a lemon, or paying way too much for something. either way, its a scam in my book.

I had my car for sale on there and I had all kinds of offers for shippers to pick up my car etc... I even had people try to pay me for fishing trips through their logistic traveling agents...LOL. My response to people like this is a simple "F*** OFF" "

Craig's list is not the only place you will find scammers. So it is always good to be "Buyer Beware"......
