emerald turned ivory

I added three emerald green mithrax crabs to my tank about 3 months ago. The largest killed the others, so now I have one. I've noticed as of late that the lone crab is no longer an emerald green mythrax but more of an ivory white mithrax crab. Any ideas why the crab would lose his color like that?

some of my mythraxs are also white. I legitimately believe the green is like a "crab tan". Maybe not enough algae?

Ours have grown considerably since we got them. When we did they were teeny tiny. The largest one is white-ish in color. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that they will take on the color of what they are eating? Or is that something else.. hmmm idk. lol

Im out of days... all I have left are chart days, and I'm saving those for the holidays.

Next vacation... probably the week before the test in Jan/Feb.

PS - all ready to work until your 50? LOL!
