about weight

i have a question about weight. i am wondering what a 65 gallon with live rock and water would weigh approximately? and the reason why cause i want to upgrade and need to but the wieghts on the stand i made to see if it would hold lol.

A 65g tank full of water weighs 775 pounds. While rock and sand would weight more than water, it would also be displacing it.

While rocks and sand do displace water, they are more dense than water therefore adding weight.

The weight estimation of 775 is pretty accurate because it is including the weight of everything you might be putting in there.

Water weighs about 8.34 lbs per gallon so 65g of water would weigh 542.1 lbs. Plus the original weight of the tank (90lbs) you will be looking at 632.1 lbs. Rocks, sand, and equipment should put you close to that 775lb estimate.
