Im setting up myself a fuge for the bottom of my tank. im taing out my skimmer because it just doesnt skim no more.... so i want a fuge.... how do i set up a fuge... i want all the best things in there... can some one help me out? how do i set ome up?

do i need that kind of grass in my tank? i have a small 20 gallon sump... and small area for fuge... i want to have like the best fuge set up possible... i want alot of copods reproducing also!

Hi Zuska
Then Chaetomorpha is your algae as it will both retrieve nutrients like nitrates and phosphates and promotes a intricate entanglement so much liked by those critters and does not release alkaloids and does not reproduce sexually like other algae so it does not release back the nutrients and it is very hardy.

Or seagrass that grows a lot faster and the only I thing chaeto might have on it is the entangling growth, but near the roots of the vine is where all my mysids hang out..
So this is why I say the macro that I use as to chaeto, grows a lot faster under different types of lighting..
