I have to change out the batteries, & as per the manual the unit wall have to be calibrated.

I couldn't borrow another TDS out here. I'm a reef "loner" around my way. :(

This is the meter I have.
In the manual, it states to calibrate in solution. Is the solution just RO water?
"hold the button on top & dip it in the solution.":scratchch

I think I just calibrated my meter using distilled water- which is supposed to be 0ppm. Thats all you are really looking for- a solution that is 0ppm and make sure your meter reads 0ppm when you dip it in the solution. If it isn't then you make the calibrations.
