Light Bill

My Electric bill this month was 171.32 and I have PC lights, I'm just wondering is it usually that expensive? I also was looking into upgrading to metal highlights how much more would it be? whats you electric bill?

Those light will use about $15 a month if you ran them for 12 hours, if you want to calculate how much a device uses the formula is watts/1000 X duration X days in billing cycle X electric rate.
So for the PC lights it would be 192W/1000= .192KWh X 12 Hours= 2.304 X30 days =69.12 x .21 (AVG NY electric rate w/ tax) = $14.52

14,360 = 14.36KW per day * 30 = 430.8 *.21 = 90.47

And I am sure i am missing something. maybe I should get a dog...

My electric bill is just over $500 per month. I crunched some numbers recently and my tanks cost about $200 per month to run.

I average a daily use of 90 KW, I figure that 55 of those KW are the results of being in this hobby :banghead:
