1" Flextube drain any good?

I was figuring out my new tanks plumbing and I figured a 1" felxtube would be easiest and the best way to plumb into my sock holdeer/sump..Any negatives or would anybody suggest not using a flextube for any reason?And of course I will hard plumb my return ...Thanks Sal

if i were to use flex tube i would use it for return and pvc for drain.less vibration

Well in that case why not use flextube on both side drain an return?

if use flex tube, avoid clear type to avoid algea growth inside the tube. other wise i dont see any disadvantage other cost. i've been using eheim for their quality tubing.

Yeah ,I think I will go flex for the drain and pvc for the return but I will also run tubing in the return to cut down on noise and vibes ..Thanks

I use those white flexable spa hose from Lowes for my drains. No problem at all.
