noise in overflow

my 58 gallon overflow make a lot of noise. how to reduce this noise'?
is it because the flow to high?
i have mag drive 9.5(new, thx god).
i hear about durso pipe, is this really work?

I have the Durso in my corner overflow for my AGA 55.... it really works great, I don't hear a thing... I hear a slight splashing/trickling of the water from the "tank" into the overflow area, but nothing more than that, and it's only a slight trickle sound... I highly recommend a durso for your overflow if you haven't built one yet.

I have not had any issues with it clogging, or acting wierd once you dial in how big of a hole you'll need on the top cap... my suggestion is, if you make one, is to drill the smallest hole you can up top, test it, then keep drilling it larger as needed till you get it right where you need to.

thx guys
i just install it and i works great. my wife even happy with it. the noise is almost gone.
triggerboy thx for the tip on the durso pipe. i only drill 2 tiny hole on the top of the cap.
