Just wondering how often and in what quantity everyone adds cultured phyto to their tanks...
I added a half gallon for the first time to my 20 gallon tank this morning and I've never seen my frogspawn extend so much.

Did you take blow to the head recently Andrew??? Curious on how you decided how much to dose  Might want to be doing a large water change about now...

Well, I've been culturing phyto for a week and I have about 3 gallons brewing and I noticed the top-off was about half a gallon so...water change coming right up!

...and to be honest with you, from what I've read the preferred method of raising seahorse fry is in a tank of phyto so I figured it couldn't be bad for the tank...

that those were fish only tanks. phyto not only will turn the water green, but when you're culturing it, you probably added some sort of fertilizer which is now in the tank promoting algae to start growing in the tank which is not good for corals
