Subcribing to Topics

Why cant i subscribe to posts so that I am e-mailed when there is a new post? With other forums i get an e-mail when there is a new post, but here i gotta keep checking back.
I have set up to subscribe to them in my prefs, but it doesnt seem to work.

(and also i made a donation to Manhattan Reefs but dont see it listed on the Sponsors list - how do i know if they got it?)

you have to reply to the post to get emailed on the string - if you are only viewing, it won't
email you.

Will look into the donation issue.

even posts that i reply to or even posts that i start dont get e-mailed to me.

Have the system email you your password and see if you get it. If not, your email provider may have blocked email from our domain. This seems to be happening more and more frequently, so we will probably have to move the site to a dedicated web host.

the password got e-mailed to me.
but posts do not (I use Yahoo mail - if that helps)

Albert,

I believe the only way to get emailed on posts is if you are the originator and you click email notifications at the bottom of the posting

i guess there is no way to subscribe to other people's posts.
