Just wanted you'z guyz opinions on Kent invert food products, calcium additives, etc... basically stuff you put in water to make them better. are they ok for corals, inverts, softies, etc... or not :scratchch

I'll give Kent products a thumbs up.

It depends on which kent additives you want to use.

...like the food supplement for anemones, inverts, corals, calcium stuff, etc. am asking because some purists argue that these are not necessary. :scratchch

The food supplements aren't necessary and you won't see any great difference in your reef or corals from using it. Actually the food supplement will only add to your waste level and help deteriorate water quality.

As for the calcium stuff, you must maintain your calcium and alkalinity together because their individual levels will effect each other. For this Kent or any major brand of Calcium or alkalinity supplement will be fine but I prefer B-ionic 2 part additive since it is already a premeasured, balanced additive.

PS Kent Liquid Reactor sucks, don't buy it. It is not very potent, expensive, and turns your tank white. It's basically powdered aragonite and water or as they would call it, an aqueous solution
