Keeping corals in bags

So, I'm wondering how long corals can stay bagged, without being put into a tank? This is all about tomorrow. If they are put to float in the sump for temp control, could they survive, say, 16hrs in a bag? How about Clams? :thanks:

i would say yes because of the shipping methods they use when you receive a coral through Fedx which is usually next day - almost 48 hrs.
However i would wait to the last minute to bag your sensitive and prized specimens.
