Make the noise stop

I have gotten use to the noise of a constant running shower, however it would be nice if it was a little less noisy. Is there any other way other than stockpipes to make my tank quiet again. I am not even running a skimmer and its as loud as loud can be. It has a 2 dual pvc overflow. Here is a pic to give you an example of how it is set up
