Ive always been baffled by the information I get when trying to purchase things online. The following link has some info that seems to be outright wrong unless the species they have are different than the usual specimans.

here is the link:
http://www.aquacon.com/saltwater_specials.html

I spot a few examples of incorrect info
1) gorgonians are good beginner corals? and easy to keep?
2)Sand sifting starfish great for begginner tanks? If you dont mind it dying in a month
3) Urchins and sally lightfoot, completely reefsafe? Yea if you dont mind your little reefsafe fish disappearing in the case of the sally and Ive had urchins eat my Xenia in front of my eyes.

And info will vary from site to site

I know, I know I should stick with MR vendors, but with these sites I can see everything in stock and order from work and pick up from fedex store, making it real convenient

even worse if you look on the special page: http://www.aquacon.com/saltwater_specials.html
and then look on the regular seafan page http://www.aquacon.com/seafan.html the information differs.

In the regular section a yellow gorgonian is describes as "difficult to maintain even in an established reef"

in the special section it boldly states "hardy-great begginner coral"

How unethical for them to vary information to sell overstocked items

This is a general problem and a good example of why researching an animal prior to purchase entails more than simply reading the site selling it.

This particular site is notoriously awful. They have been around for awhile and still haven't figured out that their name is a really bad choice---- kinda says a lot right there.

With all due respect for the MR vendors and the legitimate vendors on the net, I must suggest that you do a search on RC for aquacon experiences. The standing joke is they include the name 'con' in their name for a reason.

As a basic business rule, we do not bash any vendors. I'm just suggesting that you do a basic search on RC for feedback about them. Your questions should be answered after that.
