pet insurance, who has it?

Does anyone have pet insurance for their dog or cat?

I'm taking my cat to the vet and started thinking about this.

Can anyone recommend a good carrier for this, how would you determine which company is best?

i don't, but i thought about it for my little kitties. not to hyjack but by chance does anyone know of a good place for getting kittens spayed and neutered, preferably in queens or brooklyn? my kittens are brother and sister 4 months old and trying to mate :bigeyes2: :eek1:

My favorite, is near the bottom of the page. Friends of animals, is nationwide, and I used it to spay my dachshund at my own vet, Juniper Valley Animal Hospital in Middle Village off metropolitan ave. He's very good. I saved 75% off of what it would have cost! Nothing like getting top quality vet care at 75% off.

I looked at the insurance ink uses, it looks good so far, I have not read all the fine print yet.

John, I have insurance for my 3 dogs and 4 cats. Its definitely worth it for me. So far I never had to take them on any emergency but eventually that day will come. I dont know the name of the company cause my wife takes care of that stuff. After researching a ton of carriers there was only one that has truly good backing. It is backed by the Iams company so its reliable. There are too many companies out there that are actually mom & pop shops and when it comes to truly large emergencies where your pet ends up at the clinic on 60th, they cant pay. My wife will be back on Sunday. All I know is that it costs $24 per month. I had all of my guys neutered and spayed and I had it all covered without any problems. Also the yearly checkups vaccinations etc were all covered without hassles.

A good person to talk to would be your vet. He can tell you who pays right away and who does not.

When i went to the Animal Hospital on 63rd/York, I researchd the veT who was gonna perfoRm the surgery and I made sure they took my insurance, which they did. it too PetInsurance less than 2 weeks before they sent me my check... they were rated pretty weLL and most of the specialized vetS i go to, coZ i have an EngliSh buLLdog, recommended them...
