Currently I have a 105 gal mixed reef tank with 60lbs of sand and 150lbs of LR. I dont have that much coral right now but i'm running 2*250 Mh and 260 watts of attic. Not happy with the tank i have now cause its 60 inch long and only 18 wide.
Plan is to do two separate tank. I was thinking one stand and canopy, with one 60 gal 24*24*25 tank for my corals and small fish, and the second a 120 gal 48*24*25 tank for fish only.
But didnt know if i could get away with one 55 or 75 gal sump for the both tanks? That way i can run only one skimmer and a fuge.
For lighting i would go with one 250 mh, and for the FOWLR maybe 2 96 pc 50/50's? The rock i would split up 50lbs for the reef and 100lbs for the fish only.

If anyone has a setup like this with 2 displays and one sump I'd love to see pics.

I wouldn't think much wrong with doing that, you would just have to keep the whole system at reef parameters, adding all those tanks probably means you will probably have to get a skimmer that can hadle the load.
