Steve caught these with me the other day. I have been catching them for the past month and I'm not sure what kind of triggers they are. Any info is appreciated.

Excuse the poor quality pic (take with cell phone)

Big triggers...Looks like Steves about to make 'em kiss......I would of never thought you could catch triggers around here until I met you guys.

You would be shocked at the things you can catch or see on the ocean at different times of the year.

Michael I did a search for Oceanic triggerfish and I only came up with spotted Oceanic trigger which doesn't look the same.

Deanos where are you lol?

Thanks BB. That looks like its the one. I wish it had an easier name though. I can see my self telling my customers that this is a balistes carolinensis triggerfish...LOL
It also looks pretty close to a "Grey" trigger.....maybe I'll just call it that:)

Dave they have a nasty bite. When you pull them out of the water you can hear there teeth clacking as they try to bite anything they can.

Mike they sure do put up a crazy fight!

yup grey trigger is there common name along with Balistes capriscus which is funny when they use a common name on more then one species. I guess that's why it's more "common" and not scientific
