Just Set Up A 20 Gal Fuge Today And Don't Know The Do's And Don'ts To Put In There.
I Do Have A little compact Light That I Will Run in the fuge when The Mh Lights Turn off in my tank.
Any Were To Buy It In Long Island.

Chaeto, Live rock, and live sand are the common things to put in a fuge.

there were pods in my cheato when I purchased them but you can buy pods from the same place as well as I think bob1000 sells them from time to time

you dont need to buy pods. they will come with the live rock and chaeto. eventually as your aquarium stabilizes, the pod population will grow

chaeto isn't expensive. To fill a 20 gal i would say 20 dollars at most. I had sand in my fuge but ended up siphoning it all out because it trapped detritus and displaced alot of water. I would go with lr and cheato nothing else.

Check out the best thread...Here on MR.. Cheato is now obsolete in my opinion.. Nutrient export is best done by the fast growing macro algae...
