Question about a Phosphate reactor...?

My buddy asked me a valid question b4 and it got me thinking ...If we use RO/DI water in the tank ...How do Phospahtes come about if the RO/DI water is suppossed to be Phospate free?? :splitspin

RO/DI is not phosphate free. Check your RO water with a hanna meter.

Do you feed your fish/coral/inverts? That's just a rhetorical question of course . Almost all foods, frozen, flake, pellet, liquid, powder, etc have SOME phosphates in there. Some salts have phosphates in them too.
