I got this for xmas and have calibrated it many times and I cant get an accurate reading. it's always atleast 30-60ppm off.

I am testing it against two different Salfert Calcium kits. They are both spot on.

I am calibrating it correctly (100ppm and 1000ppm fluids).

Are these things known to be inaccurate? I mean, I rather just get my $250 back if i cant get this thing +/- 10ppm

thoughts?

I haven't had any firsthand experience with them, but from what I've read and heard they're finicky.

These monitors are designed to perform spot test. Again, from what I heard, it's best to get readings from a cup of tank water. Innaccuracies can happen if readings are taken from the display or the sump.

Furthermore, these monitors are not designed to continuously monitor Ca.
