HOW TO RAISE A STAND 10"

hi guys
i wan to setup a 20 long or a 30 breeder behind my bed but the highest point of the bd is 40 inches,

typical steel stand are 30 inches, any ideas how i can raise the stand up 10+ inches, it doesnt have to look pretty, cause the bed will be blocking it, so thats not any issue, and i cant get a wooden stand, cause there isnt enuf room for the doors to open so the iron stand will have to do.

if you recomend building my own stand, i have absolutley no idea how to do that.
for all of you that were at the swap and remmber JOE from NEA he had a DIY
stand that was really nice and tall, not pretty but tall and mine doesnt need to be pretty case its be covered.

btw and body know how many gallons that tank was at the frag swap, just occured to me that i could maybe buy it off him.

but in the meen time any other ideas

2x4's and screws is all you need if your not going to see it.

do you know anyone with a welder? they could tack on 10" of legs to the bottom of your stand.

What about raising the stand on a 10" tall wooden box? 2x4's and 3/4" ply would do it, and be strong enough.

Now that I have autocad, I'll try to actually draw one. Give me a few hours.

the 2x4's and plywood sounds scary i would just build a new stand out of 2x4 instead of trying to raise the metal stand. that or buy a lower headboard so you can actually see the tank as it is

seriously joe, your best bet is to build it urself. Its the easiest thing in the world to do. Just go to your home depot, or lowes, buy about 6 2x4s and start cutting.

does the stand go on the blocks or the actual tank

use blocks and put a piece of cardboard over it to distrbute the weight of the tank on it.

dude i dont have the meens to cut wood
and i dont wanna take a chance making a stand when its gonna be holding hudreds of dollars of livestock and hundreds of pounds of water.i know its hard to believe i just dont wanna take the chance. ya know what i meen?

If its out of sight, cynder blocks and plywood will do the trick.

If yes i can build one at work.
I dont have the time to build a stand.
