Besides physically removing by twisting as to not release more spores, other ideas to get rid of the green bubble algae?

I'm starting to get an outbreak, i heard emerald crabs and certain urchins do damage.. any other ideas or suggestions??

Emerald crabs are hit and miss. The best way is to remove the rock and pick them off, then rinse the rock with some salt water to remover any spores. It's best to do this during a water change, as you can use the water from the change to rinse the rocks off. Another way is to increase the flow in your tank and pull off as many as you can. With the increase flow the spores will have a hard time settling on something and most will get sucked into the overflow. Outside of that it's very hard to remove them once they're in your tank.

I've ocassionally had 1 appear and if I was unable to remove without popping I have punctured and pulled out with tweezers. I havent seen them multiply and I'm not sure every bubble contains spores.
