purlp tang not looking good

hey whats up everyone. i have this purple tang that is doing great but when i first bought him he was half without his black dots and looks sick but hes doing amazing for about the last 4 months . what should i do . i heard lateral line disease might work but not sure , if anyone can help that would be great

I don't understand the question. Is he doing amazing or not? If not, what are it's symptoms? How about a picture?

he looks all faded and only half his body has black dots on it but he swims around and eats just fine and doesnt look like he has ick or anything i have him for about five months and he looks the same as when i got him

What are your water condition, Ph and such. Sounds like your water quailty could be off.
