different wattages during the summer

Has anyone tried changing the bulbs on there tank during summer and winter months. This yr I was think of changing my bulbs during the summer months. I currently use 400 watt 20 k radium and was thinking of changing to 250 watters. Has anyone done this before good/ bad results?

i have the exact same plan. i went from 250w radium to 400w radium a month or 2 ago.. and think heat will be a big issue come summer so will bring it back to 250w when the summer temps kick in.

What ballast were you using for the 250s and which one are you using for the 400s
