Digital Aquatics has a thread in their forum over on RC explaining whats new with this model and the difference with other controllers. If it lives up to all their promises, it seems like a great product. Anyone getting it?
I'm just a little dissappointed that it cannot be connected for remote monitoring/control via phone or internet. I understand that it would cost more but it would have been nice as an upgrade option for those who wanted it without needing all the extras in the higher end models. I also want to see what they do about data logging via their software. According to that thread, it is something they are planning on doing but no release dates yet.
I was going to get it but I'm through with digital aquatics...
Customer service Trash...
Quality of products Trash..
Reliabilty trash....
Looks nice though...
I don't know anyone that didn't have problems with this controller... That's why I just purchased the AC3 pro.. If it's trash I'm selling it and getting a profilux, like Nyfireman, and Mshur.. Yeah it cost an arm and a leg, but reliability is stability and that's what makes great Sps tanks...
This thread is about the Reef Keeper LITE - not RKE or RK2 - so Bob I dont think you could know many people who have had problems with this controller as its only being released now. I have no experience with controllers so am not aware of DA problems. Care to share specifics?
Oh sorry about that, the elite and the rk2... Didn't see the Lite at the top of the thread, but the track record alone has killed it for me... A friend of mine is scheduled to get one in a couple of weeks I'll post his opinion..
If you have to cal don't hold your breathe for a answer, if you post on the forum don't hold your breathe for a response, and if you something fixed and lost the receipt... Good luck finding the records depending on where you purchased from... I'll post more after I come from shopping later on... I hate DA.. and I don't use that word much..
got the lite 3 and i love it
fast help desk too no problems with support
the best thing is how it measures AMP draw on your system
if you keep a log of your amps sometime down the road
it may show you that your pump motor my be failing
examp: say you start with a good motor drawing only 5amps
and say down the road you see it pulling 8amp then somting is wrong
it could just be a snail jaming it or it wearing out
real nice feature
