Just picked up a used 120g and am moving up from a 14g nano. Yeah, it's a big jump and I'm nervous about it. I plan to keep sps and LPS mainly.

That said, I'm looking for a skimmer and pump recommendation. I'd like an internal setup and am trying to keep it as quiet as possible (going in family room).

Can I get something good and quiet for under $400 including pump?

go with an asm g series the biggest you can get. The g3 or g4 . they seem to be the best for the money IMO. I am shopping for one now. I have seen the g4 under a stand on a heavily stocked 300 gallon so I guess the g3 would be good for 120. I am still new to this whole thing and still learning so wait for someone who knows better then me to give you some help.

Good Luck, Chuck P.

I'm looking for a protein skimmer as well for my 92 gallon mixed reef & 60 gallon sump. I heard the Euro-reefs are very good. Can anyone recommend the Eruo-reef model # for my size system? There seems to be 3 product groups: RC, CS and RS?
