lols its not that tho when i find info about cycling they say it starts off with no nitrates? and when nitrates are high its a bad thing but a better thing? lolz
ammonia levels are suppose to go sky rocket but i didnt see any of that? and then nitrite is suppose to kick in after that? but my results don't look similar to anything i found thru out the web? lolz thanks tho

samster,

I have 400 lbs in a 180g tank plus about 45 llbs in my 29g fuge.

Lots of live rock is a good thing. If you have too little, your biological balance will be out of whack and need to be assisted with major water changes to keep the nitrogen cycle down.

Read up on the nitrogen cycle to see what it's path is an how to eradicate it.

BTW, I too had very little amonia, BUT it took some time for the tank to mature.
