i just got a maxijet 660 and a 900 from a member and i purchased them for for flow for the rear in the tank.since i dont want to put the maxijet in the tank cause it takes up to much room i was thinking of getting a air tube that slips over the output and running it from the sump up the rear of the tank and attach the tube across the all the rocks .i want to poke holes in the tubing around 1" apart so their will be around 20 holes in the tubing.do u guys think this will work for nice flow for that area of my tank.

I think the flow will be very light considering the fact that the sump is 3-4 ft. lower than the top of the tank., and the holes will act like a spray bar, wich usually creates light flow. Also if the pump stops it may back siphon into the sump. You might end up with a flood.
