nitrate reduction method

anybody ever try this?

My nitrates were 100ppm yesterday. I did a 40% change this morning with good outcome (reduced by maybe 50%), but I'm thinking about trying the above method so I can get my params right again fast...

Yea I saw that too. Honestly, it'll just build up again. Too much work. Do another water change and start dosing vodka or go to www.aquaripure.com

You can try absolute zero nitrate, I think Marine Depot has it. You have to increase oxygen level when using it, but it really works, brought mine down from 15 to zero in 2 weeks and stable.

It does work but your system becomes dependent on it and you need to ween it off slowly.
