broken pump

I dismantled my Blueline pump for cleaning, and the ceramic impellar shaft was cracked. Not sure how the pump is still running w/ cracked shaft? I emailed customer support to see if it will be covered by warranty. Anyone have experience with this?

I found out how to replace. I am just puzzled out how the pump is still working (the ceramic connecting impellar to magnetic coil is cracked) albeit, loudly.

probably a rough jagged crack at a diagonal right? and not 180 degrees across. if it cracked diagonally when the magnet spins it'll still catch the impeller.

ahh. I guess if I didn't replace it would eventually fail?

yeah it would eventually shatter and crumble away.
