Ok so after my incident I decided to use only ro/di water. The only problem is I hate how slllloooowwww it is I put it for 6 hours to get less than half a bucket. I was curious my fridge has a filter and a little area you can get water from? thats not considered good to use compared to ro/di? silly question.

Also buying water from stores any good? or the water that I see comes in a jug then has a carton on it? I just adding rocks so Im gonna remove water and add new rocks, and do little water change.

It's easier to make the rodi water yourself than to lug it around after buying it. That gets tired fast. Plus after a while you'll have spent more money buying than upgrading your unit to a larger capacity model.

The water from the fridge is no good for your tank :(

Most everything in this hobby comes to fruition at a :snail:'s pace.

ro/di units make water slowly but there are some units I believe that will make water a bit faster. Not by much though. As for buying water if it is a one time deal, not a bad idea, but overall having an ro/di unit of your own to make water regularly and have on hand is probably, imo, one of the most useful tools and easiest parts of all this.
