Sicce pump

i got a new pw for my Sicce pump and was wondering if anyone knows how to i take off the grey part of the sicce pump thats in front of the old pw to put the new ppw in?

are you talking about the volute cover?...it fits really tight....you can use a small screwdriver to pry it a little and slowly wiggle it out....first you need to turn it counter clockwise to the unlock position...

yeah the cover.. i finally got it with a pair of pliers.. if anyone has a Octopus extreme with a regular pin wheel, get the ATB purple pin wheel its a insane difference lol.

good to hear.....yea the purple pinwheel gets great reviews....i used to have the msx 160....but i have downgraded and the skimmer is too large for my tank....

now we just need to see some pics

why don't you use the meshwheel?

i thought about the mesh wheel but read you have to keep up with it always changeing of fixing it up. so far i am very pleased with the ppw. im getting so much more bubble action then i did with the stock pin wheel.

I had the same problem getting it off.

The problem of the meshweel is that it cames dirt very fast, so, your skimmer starts to malfunction.
