Rust Screw In Tank?

what will this do to the tank

i had a koralia magnet inside of one of my overflow i took the koralia out but left themagnet in and feel to bottom of the overflow i took the magnet out after like a month and it had attached a screw that was already all rusted.....

If I am not mistaken you have a 125 Gallon Tank right?

Is anything reacting adversely in the tank as of late? If not, run carbon and it should be okay.

yes a 125 and nothing weird in the tank everything normal i am running carbon already but dont know if its enough...

If all is looking ok, I wouldn't worry about it since you found & removed it.

You can also run some Poly Pads.


There where some incidents with members having coral lost due to rusted pumps, screws & magnets.
Me being one of them.

Wouldn't effect growth. You would have noticed some looking a bit stressed.

I just lost one of my birds nothing else. All my levels are with in normal range. I had not changed my carbon for over a month and when i changed the carbon i did notice that the mag 12 pumps screws were rusting, not sure if that has anything to do with it but i thought it could. All other sps doing fine
