Light update

Hi guys,

i?m wondering to update my ilumination to get a little bit more blue.

Now a days i?m using 2 MH 250w 10k + 4 Giesemann Actinic Plus 54w in my 116.


What?s the better option:

- Change the MH for 2 x 250w 14k or 20k
- Put more two Giesemann 54w Pure Actinic

20k with actinics will give you a nice blue

20K is going to give you a LOT of blue, especially with 4 other actinics running.
What type of corals do you have in your tank? If a lot of SPS the 10K often gives better growth, but you sacrifice the blue-ness a bit.

Why not to go 14K and if it is still not enough blue for you, then you could supplement more with the actinics. With 20K's - you're going to be stuck with possibly too much blue at a high price

You?re right Kathy.

I already have 2 x 250w SE 14k at home without use. I?ll put them to run first.

At the same time, i have many SPS and don?t want to lose the growth of them.
