How was reef fantasy's hallowen sale?

there were like maybe 20 people on line, then more caMe... but I just didn't feeL like waiting. beSides, it looKed reaLLy weird waiting outside a fish store at 9pm. someOne by the door was only letting a few peopLe at a time. thiS should've been mentioned when they posted here that they were goNNa do that... :tired:

well Ink that RBTA was there waitin for u also I take it you never been to MM thats how you have to do it theres only so many people to help out and it was hectic as it was with 15 at a time Deanos and jose were there and a few others. We had a good time meeting some of the others ALOT of BAS members were there

Welcome to MR, Tony! You'll enjoy it here.

As Tony mentioned, my group including Joseney21 & Leo were 2nd in line. Once the doors opened at 9, we were the first group to go in :grouphug:. The fish selection was large including some Xmas wrasses, 2" scorpionfish, a large parrotfish, large Hippo tangs and many anthias.

The SPS people would have a large selection of frags and colonies to choose from. Plenty of nice milli colonies, encrusting and plating montiporas.

The LPS and softies weren't impressive or priced fairly IMO. If those prices were 40% off, :eek1:

I bought a monti confusa and Jose bought a monti undata; or vice versa :scratchch

We browsed for 1 hour, then left; there were about 20 people outside waiting then.

Well the biggest problem with alot of people not understanding things is your gonna pay less then interenet prices and you gonna not have to pay shipping EVEN with a 9 dollar toll Ink you miss out on alot of stuff that way MM in NJ is HUGE the line goes 1/2 mile and everyone goes back every year

INK i think it's a good experience, not always what you'd expect though. take a buddy with you and waiting shouldn't be soooo bad. take a limited amount of funds so you don't buy impulsively and only get things that you really like and are a good sale.

i definitely think the prices should've been better, but i've never dealt with wholesale....MM had much more selection, but you were just a guppy amongst sharks over at Absolutely Fish (at least thats how i felt).i over spent by alot on corals that weren't worth half the money i paid for them IMO.at Reef Fantasy i felt no pressure at all to buy any corals or fish, which was a good thing and maybe just experience from having have gone to a similar sale.the prices at Reef Fantasy were definitely better than those at Absolutely fish for midnight madness.
