I upgraded my light today from an Aqua Vim 2X150MH-2X54W-T5 to an Aquactinics 2X175MH w/ Icecap ballasts 2X54W- T5.
My Question is. Should I be Acclimating my corals to the new light. The Mh seems alot brighter and my zoas, palys, look a little scared.
P.S. This light is the Bomb

IMO - yup. Why take the chance. You upped the MH's by 25 and that Icecap Ballast is going to overdrive the T5's.

A few pieces of fiberglass screening taken off a few days apart (probably should be more, but it is VERY hard to leave it on...) over the course of a week - 10 days.
When I had any corals that I was really worried about I would leave smaller (like 6" x 6") squares on my mesh cover to shade those for a few extra days.

Better safe than sorry!

The icecaps are running the MH's. On a side note does anybody know what the overdriven wattage is equivalent to??
