Coraline Algae Dying - Freaking me out alittle

Ok gang, I never thought I would be saying this, but the coraline algae in my tank seems to be dying off and turning white and its freaking me out a little. I know we all try to scrape it, but it was starting to really look good. The die off is mostly on the back of my tank and some rocks. So you ask wtf did I do.
- Recent changed lighting as my LED's are being upgraded, so just running with 2@48'" VHO bulbs, one actinic and one mixed on a standard 120 gallon
- Only been a week, so should it be dying so quickly?
- Water parameters, ammonia- 0, nitrite -0, nitrates 30-40, calcium 400
- just did a water change yesterday
- All corals, mostly sps some lps and ricordia are doing fine

Reduced lighting will definitely affect coraline survivability.

What are your alkalinity and magnesium levels?

He doesn't have new lighting yet He's practically running 1 VHO bulb over 120g tank. Things may get worse (bleaching) once he has full lighting running.

Once it gets used to your new lighting it will come back. You may want to screen your new lighting and slowly get it to full strength so that you do not shock your corals.

besides lighting, alk/ph & its stabilty is very important with regards to coraline.
